Improv Games: This classic format was pioneered
by Viola Spolin over
forty years ago. Recently, this short-form format has been
seen on ABC Televisions' Whose
Line is it Anyway? with hilarious results. Some
of 88improv’s favorite Improv Games are Arm’s
Expert, Censor, Paper Chase and Day in the Life.

Radioscan: Come see and hear 88improv perform
an on the spot musical, complete with villains, heroes,
and solos. With some helpful suggestions from the audience,
88improv will dazzle you with a never before seen off-off-off-off
Broadway show!
Hitchhiker Improv: 88improv has raised
the bar with a long format seen nowhere else. After a few
quick suggestions from the audience, we follow the story
of one character and the people that come and go along the
journey. This short improvised play is funny and shares
its name with our newsletter.

French Braid: Watch as three separate stories
weave and wind around each other making a comedic web of
fun. This long format explores how our lives are affected
in funny ways we can’t imagine with twists and turns
that can’t be written…only improvised!
VS: (Pronounced “Verses” as
in “New York Times
VS. Omaha World Herald”
or “The
City Weekly VS. The
Reader.”) This 88improv creation gives good laughs,
fun times and answers to life’s biggest questions.
In VS, 88improv pits two competing publications against
each other in hilarious head-to-head competition. After
a series of scenes based on the headlines from the two publications,
the audience cheers for the funniest scenes. The publication
with the funniest scenes is declared the undisputed, eternal
champion of the world…until the next VS battle when
88improv does it all again!
